KEYBOARD PERCUSSION

Materials

All keyboard students should have the following:

• mallets - 2 pair, medium yarn mallets, such as Innovative Percussion "IP 300," Malletech Concerto Series "CN14" or Encore "NZ3B" or equivalent.
• keyboard instrument - if you need help acquiring an instrument, please contact Jon.
• stick bag - any model/style
• additional mallets will be added as needed.

MUSIC

• Beginners
  • Percussion Keyboard Technic (sic) - Thomas McMilan
  • Modern School for Xylophone, Marimba, etc.- Morris Goldenberg
• Intermediate - as above, plus:
  • Masterpieces for Marimba - arr. Thomas McMilan
  • Method of Movement - Leigh Stevens (as needed)
• 3-ring binder - for handouts and musical examples discussed in lessons.
• a pencil - please bring a pencil to every lesson and keep one on your music stand at home - you will be expected to mark your music frequently.
• A positive attitude - come expecting to learn and to have fun.
